Hi, I’m Megan Thomas and I provide Montessori guidance for real children, real families, and real life.

If you have a hard time imagining your child sitting still, memorizing facts, and thriving within a one-size-fits-all approach to education, you are in the right place.

Think back to when your child was learning to crawl, walk, speak, build, climb, or make sense of something new. No one had to convince them that learning mattered. They were driven by curiosity, determination, repetition, and the satisfaction of finally being able to say, I did it.

What if more learning could feel like that? I believe it can.

I’m Meg, a Montessori educator, consultant, mentor, and curriculum developer with 30 years of experience helping children and the adults who care for them create environments where meaningful learning can happen.

My life’s work has been translating Montessori principles into practical, adaptable strategies for real children, not just recreating a perfect classroom or prescribing an expensive collection of materials.

Montessori is a way of understanding children: observing them carefully, respecting their capabilities, identifying what they are ready to learn, removing unnecessary obstacles, and creating an environment that fosters independence and curiosity.

That philosophy can work in a classroom, a homeschool, a kitchen, a garden, a microschool, or halfway around the world.

My Approach: Learning begins with the child.

Throughout my career, some of my greatest teachers have been children whose learning did not fit neatly into traditional expectations.

I have worked extensively with neurodivergent learners, children with reading challenges, and twice-exceptional children who may be both highly gifted and atypical learners. I have also seen academically gifted children struggle in conventional settings simply because the environment was not designed for the way they learn.

Montessori fits your life, not the other way around

You do not need a dedicated classroom, every Montessori material, to recreate traditional school at your dining room table, or become a Montessori expert before you begin.

Together, we can look at your child’s interests, strengths, challenges, environment, and goals and determine what will actually help.
